Girls are more mature than boys…..

When it comes to girls, are more mature than boys it depends because of their working ability and working responsibility. Boys and girls are different. Some girls are very hard working and some are very lazy. Most boys are very intelligent and some boys leave all their work till the last date. I think it all depends on our interests.

Boys should know about boys bodies and girls should know about girls…..

I think it is also important for girls to know about boy’s bodies and boys to know about girl’s bodies. The information that we collect now will give us more knowledge for our future jobs for e.g. Doctors and nurses. This information will be useful in case of emergency.

Families are not important, who needs them?……

I think everyone needs a family because they stand by our sides during difiicult times. They also lead us through the right path of life.

Cyber Bullying (Kira’s group)

Good things:

Star #1)   The reason that I liked kira’s group is because of the video that they made. I liked the video that they made because it was interesting and made peoples minds change because it was very convincing to stop doing cyber bullying. I think they chose a really good way to present their topic.

Star #2)  I think  that that their group really new how they were going to convince people to stop being a bully. They were also very confident and they wern’t shy.

What they could have done better was to not make the video so shaky because of this reason is that the video wasn’t so clear.

I Can (Tanya)

Good things:

Star#1) The reason that I thought that Tanya’s presentation was very clear and easy to understand. I think that Tanya was not shy at all times of her presentation.

What I think that  Tanya should improve, on is to not read off her script during her ted talk!!

What did I achieve today?

Today my group and I achieved a lot in different areas. We did research on World Vision- an organization that provides access to equal opportunities to children throughout the world. Then, we made a note book for our exhibition, noted down key points and put some pictures in the notebook.

What did I learn today?

Today I learnt how World Vision supports underprivileged children in all countries, weather rich poor or. I also learnt that money is not the only way to support people who are in need; they also need books, food, teachers and people who can train them to help themselves.

What are some questions that I have about what I learnt today?

My questions are:

  1. How are World Vision and other organizations like them helping poor children worldwide?
  2. Why do some rich countries need help to educate their poor?

What are your plans for the next few days?

My plans for the next few days are to collect answers to the above questions. We plan to have a group discussion and continue working on our notebooks.

What were your sources that you used?

  • The bridges lectures
  • Interviews
  • Parents
  • The internet

What did I achieve today?

Today my group and I focused more on poverty and hunger. I watched videos on Brain Pop and YouTube. We saw videos on how poor children become child soldiers in Africa. We also were looking for some pictures on poverty and hunger.

What are some new things I learned today?

Some interesting things I learned today are that many children are forced to do terrible things because they are so poor and will do anything for money. In the videos I saw children, who are forced to kill people in the war. The more people they kill, the more money they make.

List several sources

  • Internet
  • Books

What are your plans for the next few days?

Over the next few days my team and I will do more independent research and discuss what we find.

What did I achieve today?

Today, my group and I completed our presentation for tomorrow’s lesson. We discussed and practiced the presentation together. We also spent our lunch time working out a plan on how we can make the presentation of our issue more interesting.  For example, we have decided to think of ways to present our work in various art styles.

What did I learn today?

Today I learned that there are also many children in Thailand whose opportunities in life are snatched away due to poverty. Some interesting facts I learned today are that 6.1 million or 10% of Thai people live below the national poverty line, and not many people get the chance to continue their education because they need to work to survive.

What are my plans for the next few days?

In the next few days I am going to continue my hard work at lunch time. I am also planning to do some research and go look through some books, internet websites and gather people’s opinions.

List several sources? Comment by each:

Some internet sources:

What are some new questions I have now about what you learned today?

  1. Why are 6.1 million people or 10% of Thailand’s population living below poverty levels?
  2. What can I do to help them?
