Girls are much more mature than boys

Girls are much more mature than boys in some cases as they are more organized than boys. But some times boys are more mature than girls as boys know how to act in different situations.

Boys only need to know about their bodies and girls only need to know about girls bodies

I agree with this as girls don’t need to know what is not going to happen to boys and boys don’t need to know what is going to happen to girls.

Families are not important who needs them

Families are important because they provide you with what you need and they give you everything you want. Families are also important so people can reproduce and so the humans don’t die out.

Exhibition Reflection

May 10, 2010

The thing that went really well for my group was that we knew what we were talking about and the we had got lots of information. We had also made a good diorama which explained our thinking.

The difficulties we had were that the group members weren’t listening to each other so it made us slow and later we were behind the rest. We dealt it by staying after school for a day.

I have learned that I don’t really cooperate well with a group and that i need to listen to what other people are saying as well.

The big ideas I took from exhibition was that we should use public transport and we should encourage other people to use public transport.

I will continue to move forward with my learning by using public transport like BTS nad stop using the car. But if newer technology comes out, I will probably use it.

I have learned that working in a group is not that easy. It is actually hard as people don’t listen to you.

Exhibition feedback

Today I looked at Ranvir’s presentation about Racism. The two stars were that he knew what he was talking about and that he gave some good examples of racism. The wish was that he should have explained his slides and not have hurried through it.

I also visited Ryoga. The two stars were that his facts were interesting and that his shark looked good. The wish is that he should have got all his facts correct and be ready when someone wants to see his presentation.

Who do you think is going to win the T20 world cup 2010?

April 30, 2010

I think India will not even get through the quarterfinals. All players are out of form for India. It is either West indies, Australia, New zealand or South africa.

I support Pakistan. Just kidding

The progress in my presentation is going really well as we already started sticking the economy, nature, society and well-being things on but we need more pictures. The inside is going to much harder and it will take us lots of time so we also have to start managing our time well.

We have achieved sticking what we are going to talk about and the road scene. We will now start putting the other things like some trees, pollution and the other things we were supposed to put.

Ms. Dawn and Mr. Chris have helped us already. The ideas given by Ms. Dawn are really good but they are extremely hard to work on. So our group is thinking of considering only some of the ideas.

The things that have caused us difficulty are that first we weren’t able to decide that do we want to make it 2D or 3D. Then our group argued a lot on small things. Sometimes the whole group went to check a room or for card boards. Our group shouldn’t have done that but only 2 people should have gone.

My plans for the next few days is to finish the second box. If we will have more time then we will make something like a video, prezi or something.

My group needs help with the second box as we are going to start that soon. But I think my group can sort that out ourselves.

The 5 most important things I learnt through my inquiry

1) That most accidents occur because people don’t listen to the rules. When they don’t follow the rules they crash.

2) That most accidents occur in poorer countries because the rules aren’t so safe. They aren’t encouraged to follow the rules.

3) Many rich people bribe the police but the poorer people get caught. It is unfair and should be stopped.

4) Rich people don’t use public transport as it doesn’t match their status. The public transport should be improved.

5) Thailand is extending BTS so they can get 3 million people off the roads by 2012.

The most important things that I want people to understand is that public transport should be used more and that we can contribute to help traffic problems so it is a better place for them.

My presentation will be two dioramas one showing the present and the future and solutions.

The resources I will need for my diorama will be

1) Headings to put on diorama
2) pictures for diorama
3) toy cars
4) toy people
5) trash
6) BTS
7) BTS tracks
8) water boats
9) boxes

Mr.Chris, Some experts, my group and some people who know much about traffic.

My plans for the next few days is to finish making my diorama and if we have extra time do a video.

Exhibition 1

Today I learnt that the water boats are a good and quick transport but people don’t use it as it does not match their status and it is really dangerous. I also learnt that even though tuk-tuk is a good transport many people don’t use it as it more expensive than taxis. Only the tourists use the tuk-tuk. I learnt that the traffic problem in Bangkok is also because of shortage of roads. Only 8% of Bangkok is covered with roads compared to 20% in Tokyo.

I also learnt that more people are buying sport-utility cars which require more fuel and cause more pollution. I learnt that the locals who walk wear masks to protect themselves from the pollution. But other people say that the mask is not protective as the harmful gases can go through the mask.

Today I finished my A3 paper’s economy part. I already finished the others. I am researching at home too.

My sources were internet. I think I should use different resources such as books.

My plans for the next few days is to find more information, do 2-3 more interviews and by then I think it will be presenting time so we will start getting ready.

What I learned?

I learnt that traffic can be stopped using these alternatives

1)BTS
2)Metro
3)Water Boats
4)Walking
5)Bus

I also learnt that the average citizen of Bangkok spends 6 hours a day in traffic. I also learnt that the traffic problem in Bangkok is because of people having more cars than they need and shortage of roads. There also have to be more lines for the metro. I also learnt that people don’t use public transport as they say it doesn’t match their status. I learnt that we have to work harder as time is running out.

What I achieved today?

Today I found tons of information about my issue. I still need lots more so I can fill the compass paper. We are searching deeper into our issue.

My sources

1) Internet
2) Interviews

My plans for the next few days are to fill the compass sheet and to find lots more information. Once we find enough information we will have to think of how to display it. I have got many ideas about how to display my information.

Exhibition 3

April 2, 2010

Today my group achieved a lot. We interviewed the police person, made a word document with all the groups information and made a publisher document with the lines of inquiry of our group. We have to continue working like this as today we achieved the most.

Today I learnt that 2.6 million drive the streets of Bangkok each day polluting a lot. I also learnt that most of the accidents happen at busy intersections. In Thailand a lot of accidents happen at busy intersections. I also learnt that people think the roads in Bangkok should be made wider so it is safer for the pedestrians.

Today my question was that how is the government trying to help? I learnt that the government is spending money on the military instead of spending money on the traffic problem. But I also learnt that the government is trying to get 3 million people into land transmit by 2012. So I’m a bit confused whether the government is trying to help or not.

For the next few days, my group and I are going to interview lots more people and find answers to the questions we have.

Exhibition 2

March 31, 2010

What did you learn today?

I learnt that Bangkok in the top 10 traffic cities in the world and that when the ambulance is going to an injured person, the traffic makes the ambulance late and the person dies. I also learnt this fact that Thai government is going to make more routes for the mass transmits and will get 3 million people off the road by 2010. And that the government is not trying to help the traffic problems but is spending money on the military. I also learnt that economics is about sharing resources.

What are some questions you have after what you learnt today?

A question I have is how is the government trying to help the traffic problems in Bangkok and Bangkok traffic compared to other places?

What are your plans for the next few days?

My plan for the next few days is to work a bit more harder and get the information. we are also thinking about new and different ideas to display our information.

What were the sources that you used?

1) Guest speaker
2) Internet

What did you achieve today?

I did researching and finding the primary and secondary sources for my questions.
